Who Is The Writer At Drywall Central?
Hey!
I am Joe, founder of Drywall Central. I have been installing drywall, taping and mudding, finishing, and doing patches for years now through my company in Upstate NY. I have learned a lot, and made mistakes throughout the hundreds of jobs I’ve done, and want to be able to share my expertise with others.
I want to give you a bit of background about who I am, and what my story is.
I Learned The Hard Way
I’m going to be very real with you — I have made some of the most rookie mistakes when it came to drywall. To make this even a sadder moment, it was usually General Contractors who called me out on it. I take pride in being about to be a ‘coachable’ person, but when I look back now, I don’t know what I was thinking.
My end game was to provide a top service in my area so I HAD to listen to others input, watched as many YouTube videos I could, joined multiple drywall groups and asked for advice. Out of the hundreds of people who said “Find a drywaller to do it.”, one person who genuinely wanted to help is part of the reason I was able to build a strong business. I get so many inquiries for jobs, I can’t keep up!
I Want You To Avoid My Mistakes
Unfortunately, many people do not want to help. They take a lot of pride in their work and their skills, and that’s okay. But that’s not who I am. I love to help others grow and see results.
My Goal Is To Educate You
Ultimately, my goal is to educate anyone who is new to drywall or drywall finishing. I will provide you with tools, tips and tricks to make YOUR life easier.
